Voile is a fine plain weave cotton fabric (just like poplin). It is made of very tin yarn, which makes the fabric slightly transparent and falls very smoothly. This quality is also called 'lawn'.
Voile is suitable for blouses, tops, dresses, (dashing) skirts (lined, if necessary), sweet summer children's dresses and scarfs. But also beautiful as a (net) curtain or for a bed canopy (in the nursery).
