Wristband fabric/ribbing is a ribbed knit, which also often consists some elastane (elastic). This allows for the fabric to not only stretch broadwise, but also in length, and it keeps the fabric in shape. It is a finely knitted fabric, which, because of the way of knitting, 1 knit-1 purl, gets a ribbed look. The rib can also consist of multiple stitches, for example 2x2, which gives it a different ribbing look.
Suitable for: Collars and cuffs of hoodies, jackets, cardigans, jackets, sweaters and sweatpants. Also nice for borders/hems of singlets, shirts and baby wear. Also great to give the hem a contrasting colour. But ribbing is not only suitable for cuffs. Because the fabric is nice and sturdy and stable, it is also very nice to use for children's clothing such as pants, shirts or cardigans. But it is also a perfect option for thicker shirts or tighter singlets.
